As is the case with all CR7 releases, this one has a visual design intended to capture the interest of other players on the pitch. The inclusion of a vibrant multi-colored Flyknit is intended to mimic the multitude of colors that diamonds refractact, sitting on top of a white base that sparkles under the lights. It is a simple, yet intriguing design. Obviously, there is huge interest in this release and its design, the NIke Mercurial Superfly V FG White/Pink/Red has continually been one of the top selling boots on the market.

Other key design notes to highlight include a textured CR7 hit on the medial side of the boot. It provides a tactile representation of the diamond graphic, while the heel counter provides a top-down view of a brilliant-cut diamond accompanied by the date of Ronaldo’s Madrid debut. The high heel reads “El Sueño Del Niño” (the dream of the child) as these were the words Ronaldo shared with Nike’s design team to describe how he felt about joining his new team.

In person, this NIke Mercurial Superfly V soccer boot is so much more incredible from a visual perspective than expected. Online images really don’t do them justice. The multi-colored Flyknit really stands out effectively agains the ultra clean and crisp white underlay.

Flyknit itself is an incredible material, the vast array of colors spun through each strand adds a look you won’t find elsewhere, very distinct. In the images, you can also see the semi-translucent white layer that is intended to add more durability across the upper. It also has that diamond cut effect, adding another visual cue when the boots are worn under lights.
